Don’t be led astray. There is such a thing as a full-flavored, natural tasting banana liqueur: Giffard brand Banane du Brésil, “crafted with the finest bananas from Brazil.” Here the buttery, caramely liqueur is paired with a soft, and silky smooth whiskey from the Alsace region of France (yes, whiskey from Framce!) for a refreshing Franco-Brazilian bombshell.
- 2 ounces whiskey (recommend Meyer’s Whiskey of Alsace)
- 3/4 ounce banana liqueur (recommend Banana du Brésil
- 1/4 ounce lime juice
- 2 dashes Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Mole Bitters
- pinch salt
Combine ingredients in ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into a coupe or martini glass.
