La Bombe

(A Three Points Kitchen original)

Don’t be led astray. There is such a thing as a full-flavored, natural tasting banana liqueur: Giffard brand Banane du Brésil, “crafted with the finest bananas from Brazil.” Here the buttery, caramel-y liqueur is paired with a soft, and silky smooth whiskey from the Alsace region of France (yes, whiskey from France!) for a refreshing Franco-Brazilian bombshell.

  • 2 ounces whiskey (recommend Meyer’s Whiskey of Alsace)
  • 3/4 ounce banana liqueur (recommend Banana du Brésil)
  • 1/4 ounce lime juice
  • 2 dashes Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Mole Bitters
  • pinch salt

Combine ingredients in ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into a coupe or martini glass.
