Latke Time!

Tonight marks the beginning of Chanukah (Hanukkah, or Hannukah). Three Points has celebrated in the past by frying up a batch of traditional potato latkes. We can’t be with our Jewish friends this year, but we can share our favorite recipe for the accompanying Caramel Applesauce. It’s incredibly easy to make and has a not-to-sweet, caramel richness that’s miles from anything that comes in a can, jar or takeout container.

Not making latkes or frying up jelly doughnuts for the Festival of Lights? Try the applesauce with pancakes, blintzes, crepes, or as a side for meat dishes.  Spin that dreidel!

Might I make a musical suggestion to go with those potatoes?

On Sunday, I went to a Hannukah party and ate Latkes. I then went on to play an evening soccer match. I had a fabulous game. Coincidence? I think not. I hereby submit that Latkes can help your soccer game.
